Guide to buying Womens clothing online.

Today’s busy women are using online companies to purchase their clothing, as it is easy and fun way to fit shopping in around the a girls ever increasing workload here is a guide and helpful tips to help you avoid getting it wrong and how you can enjoy safe online shopping.

Q. Is online shopping more expensive than the high street?
 A. It is usual for online companies to charge for postage onto of the cost of an item. But remember when you go shopping in the high street there are additional costs which people often fail to see. Firstly you have the cost of return travel to a shopping mall or city centre, possibly parking, its likely when you are there you will also have refreshments.
This alone could set you back a minimum of £10 but probably more likely in the region of £20 before you start purchasing what you went there for in the first place.

Q. I like to try clothes on before I buy them.

 A
. This is the most common comment about buying clothing on-line & there are advantages and disadvantages to both shopping online and in the high street. In shops the clothing is usually
on hangers and we have no idea how good or bad they look until we try them on, whereas on-line clothing will usually be modelled so that you can see the cut of the garment and an idea of how it will fit. You also get a description & explanation about fabrics online also.

Q. What Clothing sites should I use or trust?

A. Reputation and experience are key factors to whether your experience will good or bad. Sites that have been running for some time will have ironed out the pitfalls and will handle your
purchases with ease. Check out the website about us page this usually gives an indication. Although you are shopping online good site will also offer Telephone support and will clearly
show their number throughout the site. If it’s hard to get help with orders imagine how hard it is to get help if you have a problem. Also a good indication is how much effort has been put into images.

Q.  What if I get the wrong size?

A. Buy yourself a fabric tape measure, know your exact size.
Good sites will offer you alternative indications i.e. Bust sizes, hip sizes to help you. Internet shopping for fashion is best when you get it right first time. It’s also an idea to not to always take high street sizes for gospel as some stores now cut larger for feel good factor i.e. Next.

Here is an example of a size chart from www.j-lou.com

Q. Can I order, try them on, and return?

A. Most websites will be happy with this as long as the customer keeps some of the order and return them the way they received them. Note: Customers should understand that when ordering online they start a chain reaction of costs which involve processing the order to selecting and checking the garments
to packaging and posting. Usually if the whole order is returned these costs will be charged.

Q.  I am worried about using my Debit/credit card online.

A. It’s right that you should always be cautious about using cards online. Always use a secure site when processing your order, most website’s will transfer you to a secure site for you to add your card details, this is indicated by the secure lock at the bottom of the screen.

Q. What about Delivery times.

A. This varies greatly from site to site, again this is where the communication between yourself and the website you intend to use comes in, contact them ( this is where a landline Tel: number helps greatly, always ask if in doubt is the best advise )

If you are buying Womens fashion online and once you have established which shops you would like to use will save you lots of time and allows you to use your free time to pursue other interests you may have. Other advantages include larger choice and it has to be said where ever you may live its true that the town and city centres all look the same, the same shops in different towns. Shopping online for ladies clothing also has the benefit that you will find something different.

Ladies In Red Myleene Klass has recently hit the headlines for being the new girl to join the Marks & Spencer’s club alongside Twiggy, Erin O’Connor, Laura Bailey and Lizzy Jagger - not to mention being the new girl to join the bun in the oven club, of course.

But Myleene - and M&S - are bang on trend for knowing that red will be a hot new look for this season - and anyone who’s anyone in Celebville (it seems) would agree. So whether your passion for red is crimson, scarlet, strawberry or cherry, make sure you’re seen sporting this season’s hottest colour like these stars know how to. clubwear

Project Catwalk

Series 2

Week 10 Final

The 32-year-old nightclub promoter from Walsall beat 11 other contestants to win the £20,000 cash prize, an exclusive deal to produce a range of clothes for Designers at Debenhams and a full fashion feature in Grazia Magazine. To secure the title Wayne and fellow finalists Monika Rene, 26, and Luke Youngblood, 19, spent 10 weeks preparing a 12-piece fashion collection to showcase at the final.

Wayne’s monochromatic collection of 12 outfits, including two pieces carved from aluminum, earned him the respect and admiration of the show’s judges and marked him out as the rightful winner of the title ‘Fashion’s Next Big Thing’. Wayne’s win was attributed to his amazing eye for detail and exceptional sewing skills, both of which were clearly on display in the dresses he sent down the catwalk. A genuinely exhausted Wayne was delighted by his win, especially as he had been up all night hand-finishing the collection; a number of outfits were completed only minutes before they were sent down the catwalk itself.

Of his win Wayne said: “I have always had this dream that I’m going to get there and winning Project Catwalk is going to make it happen, I’m so excited.” The three contestants and their designs were judged by Kelly Osbourne, Julien Macdonald, Paula Reed and Ben de Lisi. Project Catwalk host Kelly Osbourne said: “From the first day I met Wayne I knew he was going to be in the final. He is not a run of the mill designer and he can do rock chic or monotone classic and still make it look amazing. I think that out of the designers he is the most talented tailor. His seam lines and the way he tailors clothes is just perfect.

“I think Wayne won because people expected him to do something really crazy and he somehow managed to tone it down enough and still at the same time stay true to himself, he made a collection that for the first time throughout the whole series made all the 3 judges come to the same decision – that he should be the winner of Project Catwalk 2007.” Project Catwalk judge Julien Macdonald said: “Wayne’s clothes are as extravagant and as fun as his personality. He is definitely someone to watch out for in the fashion industry!”

Julien’s praise was echoed by Grazia Magazine’s style editor and fellow Project Catwalk judge Paula Reed, who said: “I am thrilled that Wayne has done Project Catwalk. He has a huge talent, but, after college was finding it tough to break into the industry. He is easily the most technically accomplished of all of the contestants and he has a clear vision of what he wants to achieve creatively. I expected him to have a grand fashion student attitude about some of the challenges but he threw himself to them all. I am excited to see his own collection and fully expect to see him at London Fashion Week presenting his own label sometime soon.” Womenswear designer Ben de Lisi who acted as the designer’s mentor during the series said: “Wayne was a strong contender from the beginning of the series, his tailoring is fantastic and he never fails to surprise me.”

Wayne Aveline is the winner of Project Catwalk II and we look forward to seeing his amazing designs in shops soon. project catwalk lukes collection

Episode 6

Tuesday, 06 March The girls start with breakfast in a West London restaurant to find out what this week’s challenge is and to discover that this week’s managers are Julie (Bows) and Charlotte (Better Half). The challenge is to choose vintage Women’s Clothing to sell at Portobello Market. There are 172 items – 86 for each team and Bows are talking dirty tactics. Nicola says: ‘Assuming the others choose something we want, one of us will distract them and the other get it back out of their bag!’ There are also tactics being put in place back at the shops where Charlotte and Julie are laying down some ground rules. Unfortunately for both managers, there are problems in store. At Better Half Charlotte is struggling to control her staff and things reach a head when Cassie disappears for a three hour lunch with Jadene. But the situation is even worse at Bows. Nicola and Krystelle off on the challenge, Julie is left with Michaela and Madeleine to help her in the store. The queue is round the block but Michaela decides to go shopping, leaving the others to get on with the hard work. When she returns, Michaela’s response is to start screaming in front of the customers then storm out leaving the boutique early to go home. Meanwhile, at the market it is raining and the girls are off to a slow start. But once Better Half make their first sale there’s no stopping them (it could help that QPR is just round the corner!) and Bows are forced to reduce their prices to compete. With the challenge complete it is back to HQ to find out who has won and to get some feedback from the mentors. Cassie admits that she had a bad week and Better Half promise to resolve their issues. But Michaela is in more trouble. Mentor Anna Park claims that she should have been fired and that her behaviour was embarrassing. But this isn’t all. This week it is Bows who lose out to Better Half on two scores - Better Half have served 1,330 customers to Bows 956 and their market stall has turned in a profit of £497.27 to Bows £258.60. So, Better Half win the challenge making the score 2 all. But could cracks be starting to show in the previously harmonious Bows boutique and could Better Half start to take the lead? Tune in at 9pm Tuesday to find out! http://wags.itv.com/gallery.php
