It seems yet another emotional day of X factor auditions has worn down big hearted judge Cheryl Cole
The 26-year-old appeared tired and drained as she headed home from an intensive boot camp session at the Hammersmith Apollo.
Last year, she quickly became known for her sympathetic touch and genuine rapport with contestants, and it seems this year will be no different.
The Girls Aloud star, who would have witnessed the usual tears, tantrums and heartache by contestants, emerged from the West London venue with Louis Walsh around 11.30am.

Wearing a print lamp shade skirt, embellished vest and biker jacket, the only thing missing was her usual trademark smile and dimples.

The judges then went on to a nearby hotel where they worked until 1.30am deciding on who would go through to the next round.

Despite her the tough schedule and emotional demands, a source says she is enjoying the new format, which sees contestants perform in front of a live audience during the early rounds.

In between X Factor auditions Cheryl has also been working on her first solo album in Los Angeles.
She teamed up with Black Eyed Peas star Will.I.Am whom she worked with on the hit track ‘Heartbreaker’ and put in long hours at a West Hollywood studios during her visit earlier this month.
She is due to take time off next week before getting back to work to put the finishing touches on the highly-anticipated record.

No release date has been set for the album, but Cheryl will return to screens when the X Factor kicks off on ITV at the end of the summer.
