CLINTON’S DIARY
WEEK ONE Day 1.
Met Kelly- Tres Cool. Met Zandra- uber cool! Getting on well with da boyz. Got the model I wanted from the start. She’s Jolie! Very Pleased! Tomorrow the s**t kicks off!
Day 2
First challenge: chopping each others clothes up. Not great. Debbie is painful so shouldn’t be here. Day 4.
Catwalk Day. Really stressful. Mine wasn’t favourite or rubbished. Just SAFE! Tut! Tut!
Day 5.
First day off- not really relaxing with 13 people in the house! WEEK 2
Day 1
2ND Challenge. Eveningwear. Working in Pairs, chose Keko over Debs and Angie. Day 2
Keko bought hideous red and I don’t really like my design. Sticking to the one Nancy chose though- wish she had chosen my second one- far more exciting, really tough going. Pretty much making the Dress solo.
Ross and Tom are doing amazingly. Catwalk Day
What a farce. I was in lowest 3 and got slated by the judges. But the winning design didn’t even fit the model. She couldn’t walk. Go figure.
Day off. Feel really c**p today. Was really emotional in front of camera hated it. WEEK 4
Day 1
Designing in teams for Firetrap. Katy, Tom and I. I bought fabrics for team. Think I done good. I needed to be in the top group for once! Day 2
Ben gave my design a proper gruelling a good thing though. The changes I made had been aesthetically pleasing. Had to sort out jumbled-up clean laundry on the hallway floor this evening. Degrading.
Day 3
Displayed our collections in Firetrap window today. Public choose, hectic but fun. My group’s was by far the youngest, sassiest window. Beautifully styled. Got a hot Clarke Kent look-a-like to vote for our group. He was possibly straight, but I was in love! Gave my first autograph, bloody hysterical. Day 4
Catwalk day. I was sh***ing bricks, but I finally won a challenge. Felt soooo good, will be stocked in Firetrap next spring. My design was also the public’s favourite. Well chuffed. Really want to be in to the end. Really wanna win!
WEEK 5 Day 1
Henry Holland –back to the future. Met Henry-really nice guy. Just really down to earth! Went to Beyond Retro to shop for inspiration. Loads of fun, pretty open brief. Going body-conscious, loving it. Hope Ben will respond to that in my crit in the morning. Was nice to be down in my neck of the woods again- Shoreditch/home.
Day 2
Finished my crit with Ben at 6pm today, leaving only 3 hours work time. Quite ridiculous! He seemed pleased with my idea. Definitely wanna be in the top 3 this project. Only 6 hours work time tomorrow so will have to see. Going to a party with Henry and a fashion journalist tomorrow, wonder who that is. Fingers-crossed. Day 3
Finished my garment on time. Pretty much pleased with it. Looking sharp. Met Henry and the fashion journalist. Hope my pitch went well. Other contestants have done a bit too much “debutante” work or quasi “Dior”. This brief had about future projections. The proof is in the pudding and tomorrow’s judges decision will be final all be it dubious.
Day 4
Catwalk Day. Drum-roll: In the bottom 3 again, no big surprise there. Viv was bigged up for cheating an “exquisite” black gown. Even though the high street has been full of 50’s celeb dresses for seasons. Jasper’s was judged second best. So over this farce! At least Tom got winning design and he deserved to. This is so obviously not a show about design talent. Instead its one of a few “stories” already mapped out. What a load of S**te! WEEK 6
Day 1
Gharani Strok/Breast Cancer. We met two lovely ladies and it’s great to be involved with the charity. We had to make a dress out of 10 t-shirts. Day 2
I nearly finished my dress. We had a “styling/gangster” party tonight. It was an absolute scream. It will make for good viewing I guess, though I’d hate my man to see it. I was swearing like a trooper.
Day 3
We did a photo shoot today for breast cancer campaign, I think it went really well. I love the pic, already dreading tomorrow. Day 4
I was in the bottom three again, hideous injustice. Tom, Viv and I. Tom left. I was gutted. WEEK 7
Day 1
Design a dress for Sophie Ellis Baxter. Cool challenge. She’s gorgeous. Day 2
Had crit today with Ben and Gerry Devoux, Gerry loved my idea, Ben has his doubts I’m sure, had a chat with Ben yesterday, all he could say was how I shouldn’t be here, Tom should. How I continually fail to deliver. Nice one, thanks! It’s got to a point where I really don’t care what Ben De Lisi thinks of my work. Pretty much are over this at the moment. I don’t rate his work in the slightest.
Day 3
My Dress is finished and looked gorgeous. I bet the judges will find fault with it and I don’t really care. Whatever happens its out of my hands. If I’m in the bottom few I’ll be going home.

Project Catwalk Week 7 Series 3

Project Catwalk Series 3 Week 7
WWW.J-LOU.COM
“Show Stopper Outfit”
Challenge 7 was set by pop-princess Sophie Ellis-Bextor, to design a show-stopping outfit for her UK tour.
The gang had a starting point with shoes as Sophie really adores shoes and so a trip to footwear designer Walter Seiger on Sloane Street was the first port of call. Once a designer had picked a pair of shoes for Sophie they could get to work on making her dress.
The designers’ evening was interrupted by their models who turned up on their doorstep for a bit of a party and a catwalk show of their own. The models finally got their revenge by dressing the designers and testing their ability to strut down a catwalk. Whilst everything was in good spirits there was slight tension in the air as Viv was clearly still bitter over losing her model to Chelsey.
As Jasper was the winner of last week’s challenge he had to choose whose model would go with who and Viv’s model went to his “team-Canada pal” Chelsey, Viv sulked and gave Chelsey daggers at the party.
On Catwalk day, it was Chelsey’s design that proved to be Sophie’s show stopping outfit. Jasper and Viv were safe while Ross, Katy and Clinton had to fight to remain in the game. As the judges gave their crits all three fought back. But in the end it was decided that Clinton should leave Project Catwalk, having rarely showing the designers that extra spark they’re looking for in Fashions’ next big thing.
