A Chinese couple have decided to live in a glass house in China for a month in aid to show a work of performance art.
Ye Fu, a well-known performance artist in Beijing, recruited her fellow occupant Hairong Tiantian via the internet.
The two artists are to live like a couple for one month in this glass house with out venturing outside.
“I’m trying to express my views on the relations of couples in modern society, which seem transparent, but are blocked or separated by an unseen wall.”
The house is at Beijing’s 98 factory art gallery, it is an all glass room which is 12m by 12m and divided into two cells by a partitioning glass wall, the couple each occupy a room with out communicating.

The organiser Mt Huang announced that The doors have been sealed at each corner o the cell. There is a small hole which allows the artists to receive supplies, such as water and food from the outside world.
There is a toilet in each room which is surrounded by a pink curtain, all the waste is collected in plastic bag and sent out through the hole in the wall.
Mr Huang says “if they need a shower, we’ll put a hose through the holeâ€.
Chinas new network say the couple are keeping diaries of their experience and hope to publish a book on their release.
The outcome looks a little transparent, I know this is not quite reality tv but with know interaction between the two I can not really see how this portrays couples in modern society.

A man from Newport UK has tried to sell his imaginary friend on eBay, the listing does not appear to be there any more though but it is said to have attracted bid of more than £1,550.The sales pitch read: “My imaginary friend Jon Malipieman is getting to old for me now. I am 27 and I feel I am growing out of himâ€
“He is very friendly. Along with him, I will send you what he likes and dislikes, his favourite things to do and his personal self portrait.â€
The seller who calls himself “thewildcrazyoli†received more than 20 questions from would be buyers

Q: I’m tempted to bid but, if I won the auction, how would I know if he showed up? I just don’t want to get ripped off here. I hope you understand.
A: Yes, I understand. But I will not send you nothing, I will send you Jon conveniently folded in an envelope.
Q: Last time I bought someone’s imaginary friend, the friendship between us never materialised … in fact, he rarely came around and hardly spoke to me at all !!! Can you assure me Jon will be different?
A: Jon says: Yes I will be different. I love making new friends and would talk to you so much you would get sick of me! I would tell you all my hobbies, interests, likes, dislikes etc…
Q: If we don’t get along can I return him?
A: I’m sorry there are no refunds, but i can send you a new friend if he does not satisfy you.
Q: I’m quite musical but have no friends…does he play air guitar?
A: Yes, he’s a professional air guitar player, and he would love to be your friend.
Q: Is he single?
A: Yes, he is single at the moment. He used to be a bit of a player (well, a lot of one) but he has out grown that phase and is looking to settle down in a nice relationship.
If you missed this auction for a new friend there are others out there but you may find them a little difficult to find, some nice pictures of walls though.
