According to a new survey, men have become to concerned about political correctness to dish out the compliments to the opposite sex.
Christine Webber, a relationship expert, said: “While it may seem somewhat frivolous, a compliment is in fact a vital ingredient for well-being.
“The trick though is to be able to pay someone a compliment and make them feel good about themselves, rather than coming over as smarmy or, worse, a bit lecherous.”
65% of women suspect there is no innocence behind a flattering comment made by a new acquaintance or work colleague.
89% of women love to receive a compliment, but 67 felt uncomfortable if this was made form someone other than a partner.
