Eurovision 2007
This years Eurovision was won by Serbia by the strange butch singer surrounded by women dress up in ties, not quite as flash as the Silver Christopher Biggins look alike from Ukraine.
My personal vote was on Moldova, she was hot, even if I may say so myself.
One thing I did notice this year was the amount of songs sung in English, although English is one of the most spoken languages in the world and may be easier to understand for the voting point of view, I feel it takes identity away from each countries individuality, this is suppose to be Euro Vision and means we should interpret each countries uniqueness, just because you can not understand what they are singing about you can listen to the tone of the voice, the beat of the song and if the singer can hold a note.
Maybe the UK should sing in a foreign language as we don’t seem to win in English.
But thanks to the luck of the Irish how gave us 7 points, it gave us a boost up the board but sent Ireland to the bottom, now there’s logic for you. The UK got 12 points from Malta?
The Eurovision just seems to be a political fashion show step up the ladder to how is scratching who’s back.
When we were told we were to become part of the Europe and change into the Euro and pound we all kicked up a stink claiming it would lose our identity so should we even bother joining in with Eurovision as we don’t win, especially if the public voted for flying the flag, more like flying the the next flop entry for you, how did any one think we would win with that, or was it just as a joke knowing that we would not enter next year.
I find the only thing that inspires me to watch this exciting evenings worth of entertainment is good ol Terry Wogan, the sarcastic yet honest commentary is an uplifting boost to the commiserations we have to suffer from he results.
