Sales of Big Pants Go Through The Roof
Clothes retailer George said today (31 January 2007) that sales of big black support pants had gone through the roof thanks to movie star Sienna Miller
stepping out in a pair after a swanky party in New York.
Sales of George’s own version, which is virtually identical, were up a massive 230% when compared to this time last week for the £6 black control pants.
Generous George were also offering a free pair to anyone called
Sienna. All customers have to do is to bring in their birth certificate to their nearest George store and collect a pair Free.Â
“We can’t believe the reaction”, said George spokesperson, Ed Watson. “When it comes to a fashion trend many people have thought the idea to be pants. Our customers have said knickers to that and are buying them by the shed load - they
love them.”
The black control Batman pants are available in all ASDA stores.
This story ladies does have it’s down side, Sales of Fosters beer have also grown by 230% over the same period, When surveyed 61% of men said they had lost there sex drive and felt they were drinking more to make their partners more appealing, so it looks that these big pants by George should carry a health warning & maybe are not so cost effective afterall.

Here’s one or you ladies, news flash
There’s a new trend in men’s fashion creating a media buzz, leggings on men.
But these are not around-the-house thermal underwear legging; this latest trend is meant to be worn in public, without any other coverage.
The leggings were the brainchild of Marni designer Consuelo Castiglioni, who has been designing women’s clothes for about 10 years. She is currently branching into men’s fashion, with the leggings as part of her inaugural line. Marni, an Italian clothing company, recently unveiled men’s leggings in its latest male line. The undergarment-like item was paired with sport coats and low-cut leather boots.
I don’t think the world is quite ready for this fashion statement just yet, and no matter how popular this trend may or may not become, it will never be in style. The one person I know who could carry this off is David Bowie in the Labyrinth and Linford Christie. Is it a capital one idea, what’s in your wallet?
