The Clothes show live 2006. We are back from the Clothes Show live 2006 and ”What a blood sucking Clothes Show it was”.
The Show Organisers really pulled out all the stops to give you the customer a great day out And part you with you hard earnt money, There was a good coverage of companies that attended the show providing you ladies lots of choice of clothes from high street branded fashion, Clothing Designers such as ourselves right through to the cheaper fashion Clothes, this is before all the handbags, shoes, jewelery and make up.
We did think that the Clothes show was expensive for the customers Because of the price of the show tickets, catering etc. A couple would probably need at least £100 for the day before buying any clothes at the show and obviously your traveling expenses etc would add to the cost.
The clothing really was no cheaper than can be bought from the high street, and usually most of the styles of clothes there are last seasons stock, but obviously there are exceptions.
Most of the people I spoke to at the show had had enough after 3-4 hours as they usually run out of money or get tired of carrying bags around the show.
The fashions show were Ok, But really this isn’t for the men in your lives so don’t ask them for a lift, I have never seen so many Grumpy chaps, bless. Its the perfect place to start devorce proceedings lol.
The WORST thing at the Clothes show live, well it was for you girls has got to be the half mile queue’s for the loo’s girls were getting so desperate they jumped ship and started using the mens, God it was Really bad.
Watch out for the make up companies at the show these will hurl themselves at you with their liitle brushes and amend you work to promote their range. But this I thought was a bit unhygienic using the brushes again and again its a bit like using someone elses toothbrush.
A real heath & safety issue i would say…..
Looking at this show with after thought for the public You would be much better off having a trip to london and having a great day out there, many retailers are waking up to the fact that they can Give a better deal from their own establishments as it is so expensive to stand at the clothes show.
Verdict.
If you are loaded with cash, and want to walk around all day at the show loaded like a pack horse and have your own colostomy bag then you could have a different day out. Pack your comfy shoes its going to be a long day.
Remember that the date for the Clothes show is early December and that all the sales start January!!!!
